We at the Carriage House Art Studios have always believed that The Arts are the precursor of any substantive education and it is our firm belief that life long learning is the only way to pursue a life with passion. Therefore we are committed to providing space and expertise in a wide variety of disciplines to students, artists, educators and professionals towards their continuing desire to learn and grow. We have developed Arts and Educational Programs for public and private schools in the areas of: Artist in Residence Programs: Using a network of visual artists we can provide any school administrator with an exciting injection of creative energy. By placing one of our professional visual artists in your school working with students and teachers on murals, interior design, computer graphics and set design, we can substantially improve the context of any ongoing curriculum as well as working with teachers and administrators in creating arts projects for student that are relevant and meaningful. School To Work Programs: As consultants and hands on facilitators we have developed an original program, primarily for the high school level, where student run their own interior design business. Through this program student learn important lessons of team-work, cooperation, and the creative process while running a small business. With our help students can transform their educational environment themselves as well as their district for generations to come. The possibilities for this program and the development of collateral student run businesses are truly amazing. At The Carriage House: Presently and into the future we provide art instruction and apprenticeships to artist young and old in a variety of classes and disciplines. As our ever increasing space demands become realized, artist and students, as well as overworked professionals looking for some stress management, can take a variety of classes in painting, drawing, printmaking and computer arts. We also offer weekend study courses with a variety of visiting professional artists recognized in their fields, called Art and Breakfast, where people can come for an enjoyable weekend of creating art, good food, conversation, relaxation and fun.
